PHYSIOTHERAPY IN FRACTURE OF THE SURGICAL NECK OF THE BONE-LATE POST-MOBILIZATION PERIOD

Fractures in the humerus are about 6% of all fractures, with approximately 1/3 of them in each part of the
bone: proximal part, diaphysis, distal end.
We present a 42-year-old female patient with a diagnosis of status post frctura colli humeri sinistra. He was admitted
to the diagnostic center for kinesitherapy in the late post-immobilization period. The aim of the applied
kinesitherapy was to restore the functional gestures of the upper limb, with a view to performing the activities of
daily life. The tasks of kinesitherapy were reduced to reducing pain symptoms, improving trophic, overcoming
muscle imbalance, increasing the range of motion in the left shoulder joint and eliminating compensatory
movements. Means of kinesitherapy included treatment from the position, passive and passive-active exercises,
suspension, stretching, PIR, pendulum exercises, active exercises to increase the volume of movement, PNMU,
successive induction, analytical exercises for all affected muscle groups, exercises with and on devices and
breathing exercises. At the end of the late postimmobilization period, we included exercises for sensory-motor
reprogramming of the left upper extremity.
After the comprehensive rehabilitation, a significant improvement in the strength of the motor muscles of the left
shoulder joint was observed. Range of motion deficits were observed in rotator cuff movements, but the patient
achieved functional independence in performing activities of daily living.
