SAFE ANESTHESIA IN PEDIATRIC SURGERY AND THE ROLE OF THE NURSE ANESTHETIST
Keywords:

Safe anesthesia in children is a very important aspect of medicine that requires careful planning and a special approach compared to adults. Anesthesia is used in surgical interventions, procedures that require pain, as well as diagnostic examinations that can be stressful for children. The safety of anesthesia in children covers several key aspects. Safe anesthesia in children is crucial for successful medical interventions and minimizing the risks associated with anesthesia. Due to physiological differences between children and adults, careful adjustment of anesthesia techniques and doses of anesthetics is necessary. This paper discusses the importance of an individual approach to the choice of anesthesia depending on the age, weight and health status of the child. The paper analyzes the different types of anesthesia, such as general, regional and local anesthesia, with an emphasis on safety and monitoring of vital signs. At the same time, the need for postoperative monitoring to avoid adverse effects is emphasized. The main objective of the paper is to emphasize the importance of expertise and attention that should be paid to children in the anesthesia process, in order to ensure safety and minimal risk to the health of patients.
