ORGANIZATION OF THE ACTIVITY, STRUCTURE AND MANAGEMENT ON UROLOGY CLINIC UMHAT "SAINT GEORGE" EAD – PLOVDIV FOR THE PERIOD 2021 - 2024

Abstract

Background. The activity of the Clinic of Urology is based on the rules of good medical practice and is in accordance with the medical standards of "Clinical toxicology". (1)
Aim. The aim of the Clinic of Clinical toxicology is to provide highly specialized and high quality inpatient and consultative health care to all patients, in a timely manner and in sufficient volume. This is done by applying the most modern methods for diagnosis, follow-up and prevention of patients. (2)
Materials and methods. Diagnosis and treatment of acute poisoning by poisons - drugs, toxic gases, pesticides, organic solvents, heavy metals, drugs, biological toxins (from insects, snakes and plants), alcohol, household preparations; Diagnosis and treatment of severe toxo-allergic conditions (angioedema, oral allergic syndrome, bronchospasm - asthma, shock, generalized giant urticaria and combinations thereof) ; (3)
Results. This analysis examines the data for a three-year period (2021-2024) focused on the following main indicators: Usability of beds; Turnover of beds; Average stay of one patient.
The number of open beds planned for the period 2018-2020 remains almost unchanged in 2018 and 2019, and for 2020 with a tendency to increase by nearly 530 beds.
The number of beds spent in 2020 was the highest, and in 2019 it dropped significantly. Logically, this affects the indicator of average annual usability of beds, which in 2020 was the highest and significantly decreased in 2019.
Conclusions. Establishing a very good organization of work in the hospital, the proper allocation of responsibilities for medical activities among all medical professionals, continuous training and qualification.
