NEUROSONOGRAPHIC DIAGNOSIS - SIGNIFICANCE FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT
Keywords:
neurosonography, development of newbornAbstract
Every newborn requires attention after birth, in a special way, depending on the course of the mother's pregnancy. CNS ultrasound / transfontaneral neurosonography is also performed. It is the method of choice for diagnosing partial or complete expansion of the ventricular system. Ultrasound can accurately determine the size of the ventricles and, if necessary, monitor their changes. Neurological neonatological examination is of crucial importance because in case of deviation from normal PD speaks in favor of the existence of consequences in the functioning of the central and / or peripheral nervous system and based on that the anamnestic risk child register and to be under special supervision of psychomotor development during the first two years of life by neonatologists, pediatric neurologists, physiatrists, psychologists and, if necessary, orthopedists, radiologists, speech therapists, neuropediatricians and doctors of all other profiles dealing with children's health care.
Neurological neonatological examination includes - assessment of the state of consciousness, assessment of the state of tone, performance of atavistic reflexes.
In order to minimize the negative implications of neonatal trauma, multidisciplinary cooperation of highly educated and self-sacrificing staff of various specialties is necessary, because only proper perception of facts and their interpretation are the basis for reducing the incidence of birth trauma. costly and lengthy medical treatment of uncertain outcome was necessary.
