DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH OF PROCESS EFFICIENCY IN A ROBOTIC INTELLIGENT SECURITY SYSTEM “TEDI”

Abstract

In the field of medicine, there are holistic doctors who treat the body as a whole instead of just treating a symptom. If we transfer this approach to the field of security and guarding of industrial facilities, we must abandon the traditional security system with multiple technical subsystems /slots - signal security equipment, perimeter security, video surveillance, physical security, etc./. Advances in technology and the massive shift in societal acceptance of technology are enabling system integration, augmenting with analytics and even embedding artificial intelligence, enabling systems to counter threats in a “holistic way.” Artificial intelligence is steadily entering every part and field from our everyday life, so its use in security systems is a logical extension. The working principle of "TEDI" can be briefly defined as "intelligent security". The system's built-in intelligent video analytics software combines video surveillance technology with algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI), allowing it to go from seeing to understanding what's happening in different situations. The robotic security system "TEDI" upgrades or completely eliminates physical security. The system includes elements of signal security equipment, video, thermal analysis and intelligent robotic decisions making. Artificial intelligence, combined with system algorithms, allows the system to be a guard, dispatcher, analyst and even an assistant to the Employer at the same time. Daily analysis of the objects' behavior and intelligent scenarios for adaptation of the "TEDI" system in industrial objects, contributes to her training and increased efficiency. The report traces the processes from design, organization, implementation and operation of a robotic intelligent system "TEDI" to the subsequent analysis of its practical suitability in the "terrain". The goal is to minimize and even completely exclude the human factor when making decisions about the protection of the object. The system has unique software developments for the management and control of the entire security activity of the objects, as well as for the collection, transfer and processing of data, among which are: IRIS - Intelligent Radio-Information System; A flexible, modular security service with technical means and mobile response forces; An integrated system of technical means, organizational measures, and trained and licensed personnel, suitable for industrial sites, chain stores, administrative buildings and others. Guarding and security systems using intelligent technological solutions are the future of the security activity of hard-to-reach and large industrial sites.
