THE INFLUENCE OF THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF ECOLOGICAL AWARNESS AND HUMAN WELL-BEING

Nature has a profound and diverse impact on human well being, encompassing physical, emotional, mental, and social aspects. This topic combines elements of psychology and ecology to explore the important relationship between human well being and the natural environment. The paper will present areas of nature's influence on mental health, the impact of nature on cognitive functions, moods, and ecological awareness through a review of previous research. Regarding the effects of nature on mental health, research has shown that spending time in nature can reduce stress, improve mood, and alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression. Ecopsychology, as a branch of psychology, studies the connection between the human mind and the natural environment, and how the natural surroundings affect our emotions, behavior, and well being. Nature therapy is an increasingly applied approach that involves spending time in natural environments to enhance physical and mental health.
