FOREIGN WORDS AND EXPRESSIONS INSTEAD OF ALBANIAN WORDS

Abstract

Today, in the Albanian language (either in what is used in daily life, or in the standard language used in the country's institutions), many new or foreign words are entering as a result of the extraordinary development of information technology. Thus, we are facing new words every day, we are hearing new expressions every day. The point is that in the language are entering even words that the Albanian language does not need it, even though it has it on its own language and the use of these lowanwords is unnecessary. In the period of globalization, English has become the dominant language everywhere in the world, so it falls to have risking not only the Albanian language but also other languages everywhere in the world.
In this statement, we have expressed our concern and not only, for the disdainful attitude of the Albanian language from our society, but also from institutions including schools, the media (which also in some way, language education also comes through the media), not leaving out social media.
Our focus in this process will be the media and social networks, becouse, young people are the first to be exposed to social changes. The language needs care, also for an organized institutional attention that will deal with today's problems.
