Abstract

The western part of Kosovo is of particular importance for the development of tourism activities, giving importance to environmental protection. The tourist area in the western part of Kosovo is visited by local and foreign tourists in all four seasons of the year. Tourist attractions and beautiful nature are attractive tourist offers to visit at any time. This area is made special by the National Park (Albanian Alps) in which the attractive part of the tourist destinations lies, which are at the service of tourists. The environment and tourism are closely linked. A sustainable environment also creates sustainable tourism. Its development in many countries of the world affects water pollution. Therefore, preserving and caring for the environment is an important basis for the development of human society. Global institutions, national governments and local communities are also increasingly concerned about the future of the environment by embracing the concept of "sustainable development". Tourism is considered one of the important industries that creates major environmental pollution in many different areas and countries. It plays an important role in reducing the level of poverty among different communities, especially those in tourist destinations such as the Tourist Zone in the Western Part of Kosovo
