PEDAGOGICAL MODEL FOR A SUCCESSFUL TRANSITION FROM KINDERGARTEN TO PRIMARY SCHOOL

This paper presents an approved model for the teacher's work with children of the fourth age group of kindergarten. It describes the preparation for a successful transition to first grade in order to support children's overall development socially, emotionally, and cognitively. The pedagogical model for 6-7-year-old children builds on the results achieved during the adaptation model in the first age group, the goal-setting model in the second age group and the transformation model in the third age group of kindergarten. This model consolidates the inclusion of children in various planned activities in the educational process. The approbation of this model is carried out through a methodological sequence of three groups of guidelines. The first guidelines relate to all the preliminary requirements that have been developed and applied. The latter need to be tailored to the age-related development of the child's personality and the guiding motive of the main activity, namely the application of the formative approach as the main means of implementing the activities planned for the day. The third ones represent the confirmation of what was planned in the preparatory ones and the precise implementation of the operational-technological guidelines. The paper describes the five main methodological underpinnings of the pedagogical practice.
