Abstract

Ethics has increasingly become a focal point in discussions about governance over timecontemporary. There is growing concern that standards in public life are deteriorating,raising important questions about the consequences of misconduct by those whom utrust and public resources are entrusted. Understanding how ethics affects performance helps design effective policies and training programs that match organizational goals. Improved ethical practicescan lead to higher employee morale, better decision making and increasedoperational efficiency. This topic is important to ensure that public institutionsfunction with integrity, thus contributing to the overall social welfare andtrust in public governance. Ethical standards are essential for fostering a positive work environment and improving performance in public sector institutions. This study analyzes employees' perceptions of ethical standards within public sector institutions and their impact on organizational performance andemployee engagement. The goal is to identify strengths and weaknessescurrent ethical practices and their impact on workplace dynamics. Ethical leadership identified as a critical factor in increasing the effectiveness of ethical standards, while training programs were generally seen as effective but in need of improvement continuous. Data for this quantitative studywere collected using a structured questionnaire administered to public officials. The final data in this paper show a positive increase in ethical performance compared toprevious papers on ethical performance andemployees' perceptions of ethical standards.
