RESEARCH FOR LOWER LIMBS STRENGTH EFFECTIVENESS IN FUTSAL PLAYERS IN BULGARIA

Futsal requires strong lower limbs, especially in elite players, who demonstrate greater muscular strength and power in the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes than lower-level players. This strength is crucial for performing explosive movements such as sprints, jumps, and quick changes of direction, and is built through a combination of strength training and plyometric exercises that focus on power, not just lifting heavy weights. The study involved twelve futsal players who completed a 4-week training program. The results show that the correct dosage and selection of appropriate exercises for lower limb strength effectiveness are the basis for improvement in the player’s demonstrated strength capabilities. Futsal players need strong lower limbs for power, speed, and agility, which are developed through compound and explosive exercises like squats, lunges, and plyometrics. Strength training for futsal should focus on explosive movements and mobility, not just maximal weightlifting, to improve performance and prevent injury.
