IMPLICATION OF XIX CENTURY COSTUME IN WOMEN’S FASHION IN FALL-WINTER 2009 COLLECTIONS
Keywords:
historical costume from the 19th century, influence, contemporary fashion – year 2009Abstract
The goals and objectives of the present work are as follows: to study and summarize the artistic and constructive characteristics of the 19th century costume used in the fashion trends of the autumn-winter season in 2009. To consider the specialized scientific circle dedicated to the design of fashion collections, both prêt-à-porter and couture in 2009, which contain elements of the stylistics of the 19th century costume in their design. To analyze the aesthetic aspects of contemporary and modern women's costume, defined by various types of visual and revived/reborn influences from historical costume. The efforts of fashion designers and manufacturers who produce clothes for the modern person have led to a huge variety of stylistic directions in clothing design. The subject of this study are the most successful fashion shows dedicated to fashion trends in women's costumes, which strongly resemble the elements of the modern costume of the 19th century - its constructive features and aesthetic qualities, which make it a model and an object for rebirth in the fashion of the 21st century. The question seems very erudite and paradoxical, but not impossible and fleeting. The significance of historical costume is of great importance to the entire history of humanity and civilization, not just to fashion design. The laws and parameters of the continuous cyclical repetition of precisely defined historical elements and their incarnation in a precisely defined period of time are not accidental. They appear as a result of the repetition of the same (or similar) social, cultural and metaphysical changes. Their reappearance carries two directions - on the one hand, we have a repetition of already known elements that have proven successful, and on the other, we have a proven foundation on which we can build the new without repeating the mistakes of the past.
