IMPLEMENTATION OF XIX CENTURY COSTUME ELEMENTS INTO FASHION TRENDS OF WOMEN'S FASHION COLLECTIONS IN THE FIRST HALF OF 2009

The topic of this text is aimed at an interdisciplinary study of the methodology through which fashion designers who created in 2009, regardless of the field of fashion in which they work, purposefully use the potential of the heritage of historical costume to promote a certain trend that will embody a specific and accurately predicted ideal of beauty and aesthetic form. In the elements, trends, and motifs of fashionable women's costume, the visual implications of 19th-century fashion are an essential conceptual perspective, giving the viewer information to decipher familiar elements with which to recognize and decode certain visual incarnations, but in a new modified form. The hypotheses that were initially accepted when writing this work can be considered proven by the discovered facts, systematized and interpreted with both text and images of historical and contemporary modern women's costumes. The aim is to show those aspects of women's clothing that directly or indirectly resemble their historical ancestors - such as silhouette, color, proportional solution, constructive forms, fashion elements and accessories, etc. What makes this work unique in content and a deeply analyzed text is its dedication to a rarely studied topic - namely, when, how and why certain historical structures are implicit in one way or another in contemporary and modern women's costume, without losing their historical authenticity and at the same time not being deprived of their innovative freshness, contemporary spirit and modernity.
