ANALYSIS OF NEWBORNS TREATED WITH B-CPAP ACCORDING TO GESTATIONAL WEEK, AGE AND RELATED DIAGNOSES AND IMPORTANCE OF MEDICAL CARE

The aim of this study is to analyze neonates treated with B-CPAP according to gestational age, postnatal age, and associated comorbidities, with a particular focus on the role of nursing care. This research was conducted as a retrospective analysis of neonates admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit, including data on gestational age, postnatal age at the initiation of therapy, associated medical conditions, and nursing interventions.Results indicate that the majority of neonates receiving B-CPAP were born preterm (28–32 weeks gestation), with therapy typically initiated within 1–3 days after birth. The most common associated diagnoses were respiratory distress syndrome and infectious conditions. Nursing care analysis demonstrated that regular monitoring of vital signs, proper positioning and hygiene, as well as parental support, significantly contributed to improved outcomes and reduced complications.The study highlights the importance of continuous, professional, and individualized nursing care in the management of neonates on B-CPAP, emphasizing tailored approaches according to gestational age, postnatal age, and associated comorbidities
