CHARACTERISTICS OF COVID-19 IN THE AREA OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BUGOJNO

Abstract

SARS CoV2 belongs to a new line of Corona virus and causes the infection of a respiratory system. This disease is called COVID 19 (Coronavirus disease). The new Corona virus is discovered in China in the end of 2019. It spread with a great changes in everyday life of citizens. The disease can be mild or without any symptoms as well as it can lead to a great infection and can indanger human health. Aim of the paper are to research the movement of the disease COVID 19 in area of municipality Bugojno according to seasons, according to gender and age. XXX. Material of research are the applications of contagious diseases noted in the Evidence Book of contagious diseases in Hygenic epidemiological service of Medical centre Bugojno. Statistical analysis according to chi square test showed that there are statistically significant deviations from the expected distributions seasons, gender and age (p<0,05). On the basis of given results its concluded that the first case of disease COVID 19 in the area of municipality Bugojno is recorded with the patient who traveled abroad just after the pandemic was announced from WHO organization. During the observed period the cases of COVID 19 disease are recorded in period of all the months concerning the greatest number of diseased in colder season. The greatest number of diseased was in winter time and more diseased patients were of female gender than the male. The COVID 19 diseased patients were mostly from the working force.
