CRITICAL THINKING IN PROBLEMATIC TRAINING

Abstract

The article discusses the relationships between problem solving and critical thinking in the context of their application in technology and entrepreneurship in elementary grades. The essence and purpose of critical thinking is clarified as an approach and method that support its realization, the specific and manifestation in the problem solving process. Perspectives of authors have been proposed, indicating common technological stages between the two methods and their interrelatedness as in the implementation of practical activities when solving a specific problem, as well as a more general context as means for their development as universally applicable skills. The practical application of critical thinking has been examined in developed and tested problem solving maps for primary school grades and its role of each of the stages analysis, detection and definition of the problem, research and idea generation. Data from experimental work is presented, in which a method and its effectiveness for the development of critical thinking skills were investigated, and the reasons for the obtained results were analyzed.
