The article examines the evolution of career guidance through a comparative analysis of leading theoretical models that reflect changes in the socio-economic environment and the labor market. It traces the transition from traditional models, based on the alignment between personal characteristics and occupational requirements, to contemporary approaches that emphasize the dynamic nature of career development, personal adaptability, and lifelong learning.
Key theoretical concepts are analyzed, including typological models, developmental theories, and constructivist approaches, which view career development as a process of actively constructing meaning and identity. Particular attention is given to the role of career counseling in modern education, as well as to the need for integrating digital technologies and artificial intelligence as tools for providing personalized support to students.
In conclusion, it is emphasized that contemporary career guidance models require a holistic approach that combines individual personality traits, social context, and technological opportunities in order to effectively prepare young people for the challenges of the modern labor market.
