Abstract

Shock, as one of the leading causes of fatal outcome in humans, in a period of modern and advanced medicine, still needs additional research in order to improve the treatment and the method of treatment for patients in order to ultimately have a positive result.
The leader of causes for shock state is heart problems, low blood volume, slow heart rates etc.
According to the previous investigations and searches, a major role in the treatment of the shock state is played by the medical staff and the conditions in which treatment should be started urgently according to a given protocol to save the patient's life. Every delayed moment in the treatment leads to damage to the organism, which later appears as a complication of the condition. The most common complications are acidosis, gastrointestinal bleeding, respiratory distress syndrome. The effects of shock are reversible, but rapidly become irreversible and resulting with death.
All previous examinations, researches and protocols that started from the XIX century have led to a situation where known parameters and vital signs that indicate a shock state have already been proven, and thus the medical staff has an easier and more dynamic approach to prescribing the necessary therapy to preserve the health of the patient.
Across the American study, 36% of patients had hypovolemic shoock, 33% had septic shock and 29% had cardiogenic shock. But, according to these studies, the most common condition that ends in death is cardiogenic shock, which is often not treated properly.
The education and training of the medical staff is needed daily with the constant renewal of new, well filled materials with new methods and procedures for saving human life.
The treatment of shock is different for every conditions. Most often included catecholamines like epinephrine, norepinephrine, dopamine, adrenaline, noradrenalin etc.
But, every treatment is not effective for all shock states and because of this every state have different access.
Also, the shock conditions needs hospital treatment at rooms for intensive care and 24/7 monitoring of vital signs.
Patients are the biggest concer of the medical staff and saving their life is their biggest title.
